Handmade ceramics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It was all a dream.

I’ve been making for 12 years, but it wasn’t until I graduated Temple University’s Tyler School of Art that I considered art my “career.” Now, I make functional ceramics in an in-process studio in my backyard, and I (mostly) wouldn’t have it any other way.

My life and practice play side by side on a daily basis. Childhood, playground, mess making, resolution. I work in anything soft, resin, wax, clay and plaster but all of those materials ultimately transfer to clay.

home is where the food is.

My work references what has made me happy my entire life; the temple I knew to be safe, the home that never had four walls: food. Each piece I create - whether for you or for me - captures a moment in time. Within each cup, bowl, and jug…a memory is triggered. Though we both share the connection, our memories are most likely wildly different.

I love this about food: a little something for everyone and no one leaves hungry (at least visually). These shapes and images carry memories for each of us, all different. I enjoy working through all my memories to bring something to the table that might inspire someone else.
